A while back, I was bored and needed a new hobby that could be a creative outlet. All of my friends had their own side gig going on, between wood crafts and embroidery, and I wanted something that I could pour a bit of my artistic talent into.
I watched a lot of YouTube videos, did some researched, purchased some polymer clay for the first time, and dove in. The first batch of earrings I created were thing and kind of bigger than they needed to be, but I enjoyed the process.
Flash forward a bit, and I got the hang of everything. There’s something about working with polymer clay that I really enjoy. It affords me yet another creative outlet, but it also is a hobby that involves real craftsmanship and honing of your craft.
Fast forward some more, and you have “Old Roots Accessories.” Far from the former name, I wanted to brand to symbolize something that means so much to me – the South. I’ve been living in South Georgia for over 20 years and while down here, I’ve come to love the area. Between the perfect weather and the people, you can’t beat the lowcountry and the surrounding parts.
That said, “Old Roots Accessories” is all about providing people with hand-crafted wares that showcase both my artistry and gives them something unique to flaunt on their earlobes.
